Elaine Shannon, MEd, LBSW, LPC-Intern

Elaine is currently under the supervision of Robert Fortney, LPC-S. She is equipped to assist clients with relationships, grief, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, life-skills, and spirituality.

Elaine uses a person-centered approach and offers counseling that is free of judgement or criticism. She strives for honesty and openness with her clients in order to help them reach their goals. 

Elaine uses an integrative approach to therapy drawing from cognitive-behavioral, person centered, solution focused, and mindfulness modalities.

Elaine is available Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Click on  Sign Up and submit a request specifying Elaine or contact her directly at  806-391-2563.

All of our counselors set their own appointments and will work with you individually on scheduling and availability

Bryan Moffitt, JD, MBA, MEd, LPC, Ph.D

Executive Director

Bryan has worked in the counseling field since 1992 and has been in management since 1998. His areas of work are in individual counseling, couples counseling, and in creating access to services for the public. He teaches in the counseling program at Wayland Baptist and at ENMU. Bryan is currently not taking new clients.

Margie Martinez, LPC

Counselor

Margie is a Spanish-speaking Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals, children, adolescents, families, and couples.  She deals with PTSD, sexual abuse, addiction, parenting, career, and general mental health issues and can provide faith-based counseling, as well. She is available 3-7 p.m. M-F.

Keith Rivers, LPC

Counselor

Keith sees adults, children, families, and couples. He works with veterans, PTSD, LGBT, parenting issues, careers, and addiction, as well as general mental health issues. He is available after 5 M-F and Sat 9-4.

Ramona Gayle Jefferson, LPC

Counselor

R. Gayle Jefferson, Ph.D., is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She counsels and facilitates therapy for adults, adolescents, and children with a variety of counseling issues. She schedules appointments Thursday-Sunday 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., accepts affordable fees and Superior and Firstcare Medicaid.

Terri Beard, LPC

Counselor

Terri enjoys working with individuals, couples and adolescents in their transitions in life, relationships, depression/anxiety, stress, grief and loss. She also provides LGBTQIA and affirmative therapy, in that clients who are members of this population will encounter a loving, open and non-oppressive environment. Terri is trained in EMDR therapy (an interactive psychotherapy technique) used to relieve psychological stress for clients who may be experiencing PTSD and/or working through past trauma. 

Master's Level Interns

Student Counselors

We have an average of 15 of these interns at any given time.  These counselors are working on their Master’s degree in counseling at Texas Tech, Wayland Baptist, LCU, or another university.  These counselors are available 9 a.m. -9 p.m.

Brad Stiggers, LPC

Counselor

Brad is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. Brad enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and families coping with a variety of issues. He deals with PTSD, career counseling, addiction, and sexual abuse. Brad also runs the weekly Anger Management, Domestic Violence, and Life Skills groups. He schedules appointments M-F 4:30-9:30 p.m. and Sat. and Sunday 9-5.

Shari Sawyer, LPC

Counselor

Shari sees adults, children, families, and couples.  She works with a wide variety of mental health issues. She is available after 5 and on weekends.

Jonathan Byrd, LPC

Christian Enevoldsen, LPC

Counselor

Christian sees adults, adolescents, and children. Christian operates from a person-centered approach and has worked with individuals in addiction recovery over the last decade. He is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and oversees training for our substance abuse intensive outpatient program. 

Cristy Martinez, LPC

Counselor

Cristy specializes in working with survivors of sex trafficking and sexual assault. She is also experienced in helping those with PTSD, substance abuse issues, problems with interpersonal relationships, and in developing self-care/wellness plans. Cristy is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Motivational Interviewing for CSEY Responders. 

Cristy conducts information-based presentations in the community on sex trafficking. Counseling hours vary; message for appointment.

LPC-Interns

Counselor Interns

We have an average of 8 LPC-Interns at any given time. These counselors have completed a Master’s degree in counseling and are working on accumulating 3000 hours towards licensure as a LPC.  Most of these counselors are available after 5; however, it is possible that some will be available 8-5, as well.
